The Legend of Blood-Eye Blade Demo (Prologue Only)

More Blood-Eye Blade art! And others...

I've been drawing like crazy this year. Some years I only get out two or three pieces but only half way through the year and already I've drawn more than ten! Several of which are, of course, centered around The Legend of Blood-Eye Blade and its characters.

All three show Blood-Eye Blade being reunited with people from his past and are actual scenes that will be included in the story.

 

 

 

Seth, Blade Master

So it turns out I may need some practice with Taurens before I'll be happy with any Bjarnn I draw...

But on the plus side I have created an work depicting a character known as Seth who will turn up later in the story. Enjoy!

New Character Portrait: Drakken (Almost There!)

The newest character portrait in the series, Drakken.

This was meant to be done some time ago, I know, but it turns out I didn't have the right skin colour. So I had to order a new marker. Not that it was perfect either but it was better. And the hair is supposed to be black. @.@

Anyway, Drakken is the main character of the story, besides Blade, and is usually the one whose insight we see most often. Drakken is a captain in the Warchief's army, a strong yet kind warrior.

Almost there now! Only one more character portrait for the main  group! I may or may not do some of the others but we'll see.

New Character Portrait: Kar'zhel

The newest character portrait in the series, Kar'zhel. 

This friendly troll is a member of Drakken's group of companions and accompanies everyone on their adventures. An enhancement shaman, he is friendly and laid back.

Keep an eye open because some time over this next week I will be posting the portrait for Drakken. Only two more to go!

Do ignore the extra red lines on the left and the rather extreme yellowness of his hair. It has recently come to my attention I need new pale yellow markers but I have not yet gotten around to doing this.

So Close...

Yay! So much yay! 

After a year of on and off (mostly off) work I have almost finished the Chapter by Chapter Summary. 

Well, I call it that but with each summary being more detailed than a "summary" and being on average about 1, 500 words (some less, some a lot more), I figure it's more of a first draft.

Anyway, today I finished the 3, 300 word summary for Chapter 19 and all that's left is the Epilogue summary. Yay!

After I write up that last chapter summary then I have to have it looked over for consistency, etcetera, but still it's more than a little gratifying to finally have something tangible to show for my hours and hours of effort. 

And I'm also very proud (and very scared) as this summary is, in total, almost as long as the longest chaptered story I've every written (which was about 30,000 words). So I estimate the finished product will be a minimum of 80, 000 words. Most likely though it will be closer to 100,000. Which for me, personally, is huge!

It's both exciting and daunting at the same time. Now I'll be able to focus more on the actual story.
