Blood-Eye Blade Visual Novel Update

Good news everyone!

I have updated my visual novel! The newest version now follows through to the end of chapter 2!

While the VN still does not include any character graphics (those take the longest to do aside from the writing), all backgrounds are in, along with background music and now even sound effects!

Also included is the new user interface, a huge improvement on the old one. It now allows readers to skip forward and back pages, skip to the next chapter, toggle UI visibility, view the text log, and now has working saves!

Eheh...heh... Sorry?

Yeah I know, I'm a terrible person. I deleted the old file for the demo (mentioned in my last post) quite some time ago and never bothered to link the new file. Sorry!

But here it is now! It concludes of the prologue and the first chapter. Backgrounds, music, text, and menus are all there. The only thing missing so far is the character portraits. But they'll take the longest aside from the writing.

Finally, chapter 2 (or 3 if you use archiveofourown (same content)) is up! A ridiculous 9.5k words! That's longer than half my old stories...

The Legend of Blood-Eye Blade Demo (Prologue Only)

More Blood-Eye Blade art! And others...

I've been drawing like crazy this year. Some years I only get out two or three pieces but only half way through the year and already I've drawn more than ten! Several of which are, of course, centered around The Legend of Blood-Eye Blade and its characters.

All three show Blood-Eye Blade being reunited with people from his past and are actual scenes that will be included in the story.

 

 

 

Seth, Blade Master

So it turns out I may need some practice with Taurens before I'll be happy with any Bjarnn I draw...

But on the plus side I have created an work depicting a character known as Seth who will turn up later in the story. Enjoy!

New Character Portrait: Drakken (Almost There!)

The newest character portrait in the series, Drakken.

This was meant to be done some time ago, I know, but it turns out I didn't have the right skin colour. So I had to order a new marker. Not that it was perfect either but it was better. And the hair is supposed to be black. @.@

Anyway, Drakken is the main character of the story, besides Blade, and is usually the one whose insight we see most often. Drakken is a captain in the Warchief's army, a strong yet kind warrior.

Almost there now! Only one more character portrait for the main  group! I may or may not do some of the others but we'll see.

New Character Portrait: Kar'zhel

The newest character portrait in the series, Kar'zhel. 

This friendly troll is a member of Drakken's group of companions and accompanies everyone on their adventures. An enhancement shaman, he is friendly and laid back.

Keep an eye open because some time over this next week I will be posting the portrait for Drakken. Only two more to go!
